When I shared a concern they listened and responded. The CNA's who cared for him kept him clean, groomed, and well dressed, and they treated him with tenderness and respect. The same kindness was evidenced by the warmth and affection shown to him by housekeepers, laundry workers, and kitchen and maintenance staff. I found the administrators friendly and the nursing care was attentive and knowledgeable.

There was no personalization of his room even though asked a number of times until hospice worker did. Calls to get medical updates were sometimes challenging to get information. After my loved one passed away, I was given the clothes and items from his room which included many items from other residents!!!

Some staff such as Executive Director, Admissions Director and Activities Director were responsive when emailed. There didn't seem to be enough nursing coverage to be responsive and sometimes calls weren't answered. Valuables were taken twice from the room but for example a wedding ring can't be valued enough.

One particular nurse didn’t ever notice any change in my mother. When they were drawing labs on her, one time it took eight days before she got any antibiotics, and it would take at least five to six days to get a turn around and get her on some medication. My mom wasn’t the only one that had a UTI, so perhaps having a lab there or getting another lab that works more promptly would be something they could work on.
My mother has been a patient at Belmont Manor for several years. During her stay here, she has received nothing but excellent care from professional and caring staff. I see the same caregivers providing care to my mother that helps us to feel confident that the staff really knows her. I often see staff happy and working together doing a very challenging job. I would highly recommend Belmont Manor to anyone looking for nursing care for a loved one.
They could do some deeper cleaning in there, too. The curtains were not ever changed or cleaned unless I suggested it, or if they were asked how often they cleaned them, because they were just dirty.
